Prayer for Joyful Fidelity to our Mission
by Fr. Frank Pavone, M.E.V.

Lord God, We thank you for our salvation in Jesus Christ.

We thank you for the call he gives us
Not a call to sit in a corner cowering in fear over our enemies,
Mystified about how to overcome the Culture of Death,
Despondent because of our sins, Or worried about the perceived political strength of our opponents.

Rather, it is a call to stand victorious in the light of the Resurrection
And to proclaim to the Culture of Death:
You have been conquered! You have no place here,
No power to defeat the forces of truth and goodness!

Yes, Lord, we stand in that light And we are filled with joy
Not a superficial joy that rises and falls
With the ebb and flow of circumstances beyond our control,
But with the profound joy That only you can give
And that nobody can take away.

In the strength of that joy,
May we your people continue to proclaim your truth
And share your grace Not only within the walls of our Churches,
But in the halls of government, In the voting booth,
In the media, And in every inch of the public square.

Lord, in our work for you, may we find you.
In our efforts to change the world, may we ourselves be changed.
In our struggle to build a Culture of Life, may we find life eternal.

We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen

Prayer of Reparation

God and Father of Life, You have created every human person,
And have opened the way for each to have eternal life.

We live in the shadow of death. Tens of millions of your children have been killed because of the Roe vs. Wade decision legalizing abortion.

Father, have mercy on us.
Heal our land And accept our offering of prayer and penance.
In your love for us, Turn back the scourge of abortion.

May each of us exult in hearts full of hope
And hands full of mercy And work together to build a culture of life.
We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for our Courts and Judges Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of our nation. You alone rule the world with justice,
Yet you place in our hands the solemn duty  of participating in the shaping of our government.
I pray today for our President and Senators  Who have the responsibility of placing judges on our courts. Please protect this process from all obstruction. Please send us men and women of wisdom, Who respect Your law of Life.
Please send us judges with humility, Who seek Your truth and not their own opinions. Lord, give all of us the courage we need to do what is right  And to serve you, the Judge of all, with fidelity.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen!

Prayer to the Holy Spirit, the Advocate

O Holy Spirit of God, You were promised to us by the Lord Jesus as an Advocate, as one who pleads our cause and speaks up for us in the heights of heaven. "I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever..."(Jn.14:15).
The apostle Paul has taught us that You intercede for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in speech (Rom. 8:26).
We praise You today for the gift of salvation, for we are deeply aware that we cannot save ourselves. We have sinned, and we cannot win forgiveness on our own. We need an Advocate.
We ask You, O Holy Spirit, to make us ever more aware of those who need us as advocates. Grant that we may hear the cries of our youngest, smallest brothers and sisters, those still in the womb, who cannot speak or defend themselves, and who cannot even pray.
Holy Spirit, as You are the Advocate, so make us advocates. As You hear our cries for mercy, so let us hear the cries of others for mercy. Save us from the misfortune of seeking mercy only for ourselves, while being deaf to others. As you loosened the tongues of the apostles at Pentecost, so grant us today a Pentecost for the unborn, that we may speak for them before the great and the small, before governments and institutions, and before all Your people. Amen.

PRAYERS

Rescue the Pre-born Sunday O God of Beginnings, You are the Creator of all life. As we begin this week, be near us as we unite with our Pre-born brothers and sisters who are scheduled for death. May you by your Holy Spirit and by the voice of your church lead your people to rescue from death the innocent children and bring those who participate in their death to true repentance that they may taste of your goodness and mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Spiritual Warfare
Monday
Almighty and Powerful God, drive all evil spirits away from the innocent Pre-born children and from the killing centers where their destruction is planned. Overcome evil with good in the hearts of those who reject your truth and who have believed the lies of the evil one who would say that good is evil and evil is good. Rebuke the enemy for the sake of innocent children and for your sake, Oh Lord; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Kingdom Prayer
Tuesday
Oh Great King of Kings, let your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven for the sanctity of all human life. You have said that your Kingdom is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Where there is unrighteousness let righteousness come to bear, where there is hostility, cause your peace to reign supreme, where there is sorrow, bring joy in the hearts of people. Lead us into your unshakable and everlasting kingdom in which you reign forever and ever that truly the kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdoms of our God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

For Forgiveness
Wednesday
Oh God of mercy and grace, as you hung on the hard wooden cross, you asked that those who were putting you to death might be forgiven. Please, Oh Lord, help us to offer that same forgiveness to those who participate in abortion, euthanasia, the destruction of embryonic life and who by other means violate the sanctity of human life, that in all things the world would know the height, the depth, the breadth, and width of your love, your mercy and your grace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Restoration of the Holiness and Protection of the Womb
Thursday
Oh Holy God, our Rock and our Fortress, you used the womb of Mary to be a tabernacle for the dwelling of the Incarnation, where the Holy Son of God was to be nurtured and protected. You created the womb of woman that the miracle of human life might be nurtured and protected. Many women have been deceived to believe that their womb is not a place of holy protection for a human life, but that it is simply another appendage of their body. Renew and restore your purpose and will concerning the womb of all women throughout the earth, that you may be glorified; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

For Governments
Friday
Oh Ruler of the nations, many of the kings of the earth have set themselves against you; they rebel against your rule. Yet you have set your King on your holy hill of Zion so that in every local, state, provincial and national government you would rule in the midst of your enemies. We pray that you would strengthen and uphold those rulers that, by your grace, are following your ways and purpose. Make your enemies a footstool for your feet, that all people in all nations would kiss the Son, so they may know that happy are those who take refuge in you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, forever and ever. Amen

For an End to Abortion
Saturday
Oh God, who is the Beginning and the End, hear our prayers as we cry out to you to end the merciless shedding of innocent blood in our nation and throughout the world. Through death you have conquered death and through your life we experience eternal and everlasting life. Cause life to spring forth in the hearts of all people and bring forth a love and respect for life that will dominate our culture.  May your kingdom and church apprehend and overtake the culture of death that has prevailed through deceit and selfishness; may the Seed of the woman crush the head of the serpent through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

"Prayer to End Abortion"

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life,
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.
I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,
Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn.
I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected,
And our nation once again becomes
A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all,
Through Christ our Lord. Amen!

Prayer to the Virgin Mary

O Mary, Mother of Jesus and Mother of us all, we turn to you today as the one who said "Yes" to Life. "You will conceive and bear a Son," the angel told you. Despite the surprise and the uncertainty about how this could be, you said yes. "Be it done unto me according to your word."
Mary, we pray today for all mothers who are afraid to be mothers. We pray for those who feel threatened and overwhelmed by their pregnancy. Intercede for them, that God may give them the grace to say yes and the courage to go on. May they have the grace to reject the false solution of abortion. May they say with you, "Be it done unto me according to your word." May they experience the help of Christian people, and know the peace that comes from doing God's will. Amen.

Prayers to Jesus in the Holy Eucharist

 "My Body"
"This is My Body, given up for you." Lord Jesus, we hear Your words each day at Mass. You have used these words to teach us the meaning of Your love for us, a love that brought You to the cross to give Your life so we might live. You use these words also to teach us the meaning of our love for one another, a love which leads us to give ourselves away that others might live.
"This is my body." Lord, we also hear these words used by those who think they can take life, just because that life is growing within their body. We hear these words distorted by those who support abortion.
Grant that all Your people may learn that human fulfillment is never found by pushing someone else out of the way, but only and always by pushing ourselves out of the way. May all Your people live their lives according to Your most sacred words, "This is my body, given up for you!"

Unity
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for the gift of the Holy Eucharist, Your Sacred Body, by which You unite us as one body in You. "For we, many though we are, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf"(1 Cor. 10:17) As we receive You, O Lord, You also receive us. As You draw us up to Yourself, You draw us also into one another. "You are the Body of Christ, and individually members of it" (1 Cor. 12:27).
Lord, grant that we may never exclude any of the other members of Your Body from our love. As we receive Your Body in Communion, so let us receive and welcome all the members of Your Body, no matter how inconvenient they may be. Help us especially to welcome those who have become the most unwelcome members of our world, namely, those who have just entered it. Bless our brothers and sisters in the womb. Rid our world of the sin of abortion, which divides parents from their own children, from one another, from their very selves, and from You, O Lord.
Grant that the power of Unity which we find in the Eucharist may overcome the fear of the unborn child, and may enable us to welcome that child as a brother, a sister, a member of Your Body. Amen.

Faith
Lord Jesus, I firmly believe that the Blessed Sacrament is Your very Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity. Senses cannot grasp this marvel. Faith, however, reaches beyond what the eyes can see and assures us that You are present.
Grant, O Lord, that our faith in the Eucharist may also strengthen our ability to recognize the dignity of every human life. We know that the senses can fool us there as well. Some may not be attractive, others may seem too small, some may appear as less than human.
But we, who can see You in the Sacred Host, can certainly see you in our brothers and sisters. We can also see You, O Lord, in the children in the womb. In a day when so many have forgotten these children, and dismiss them as less valuable than those who are born, grant that we may grow all the more convinced of their dignity and worth.
Then grant, O Lord, that we may act accordingly. Amen

Prayers for Life, Pro Life Prayers.

Redeemer in the Womb

Lord Jesus Christ, You took our human nature upon Yourself. You shared our life and death, our childhood and adulthood.
You also shared our time in the womb. While still God, while worshiped and adored by the angels, while Almighty and filling every part of the universe, You dwelt for nine months in the womb of Mary. You were our Redeemer in the womb, our God who was a preborn child.
Lord Jesus, we ask You to bless and protect the children who today are in their mothers' womb. Save them from the danger of abortion. Give their mothers the grace to sacrifice themselves, in body and soul, for their children. Help all people to recognize in the preborn child a brother, a sister, saved by You, our Redeemer in the womb
Father of us all, Author of all life, I thank you for my life and the appreciation of it. Please help me to always respect the lives of all your children, from conception to natural death. Let your Spirit enlighten the minds and open the hearts of those who do not fully respect all human life according to your will. Where there is remorse, grant peace to all women and everyone affected by past abortions. Lighten the burdens of all women with problem pregnancies. Bring adoption of a Human Life Amendment soon. Thank you, Father. Amen

Prayer of Love and Life

Dear Lord, through Your Apostle, St. Paul, You've taught us that there are three great virtues, Faith, Hope and Love, but the greatest of all is Love. Help me to understand that in order to love You and to love my neightbor, I must be alive. Father, help me to value my life, and all life, and give me courage to respect, defend, and, if necesssary, die to protect the right of everyone to live as You will them to.

Amen.

Rev. James H. Murray
Prayer for a Pro-Life Pregnancy Center

Lord, we thank You for Your grace in allowing (Insert name of center here) to open in our area. We beg Your blessings upon all supporters of this center, upon all who help in any way, and especially upon all those who call and/or come to the Center for help. We ask You to influence these women to choose life for their babies. We ask you to enlighten our advisors on how to individually help and advise each women who comes to the Center. Lord, we trust You with our lives and with the lives of our family members. We put into Your hands all those who come to (Insert name of center here). May Your holy will be forever done, and may all we do give You glory. Amen.

Prayer for All People

Lord of Life, We give you praise because all we know of You speaks of life, and goodness, and blessing. Yet, as we look at Your world, we are stricken with grief that so often we seem to see more that relates to death than to life. In the midst of such a world, help us to so order our lives that they will in turn express Your life.

Give us concern for the unborn dead, whom people have destined to be that for their own convenience through an injection, a pill, or a knife. Give us concern also for the living dead, those, who through want of food, medicine, or the lack of someone to care, are dead while they live. And, Lord, give us concern for the dying dead, those whose lives are almost spent here on earth.

Deliver us from seeing any of these people as a responsibility to be avoided or a bruden to be lifted from our shoulders. Instead, let us view each issue, and especially each person, as an opportunity for You to express Your life in us. Give us to be as incensed with wrong as You are, but help us also to influence our society and our fellows through our gracious words and firm stands. Above all Lord, enable us to reach out to those in need whom we can personally help, lest our profession of love be only sounding brass or a tinkling cymbol. Through him who taught us to love - Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

Blessed Be

Blessed be life

I tell you it's good to be alive

Blessed is she who bore me and tenderly nurtured me

Blessed is the fruitful seed in the womb

Blessed is the growing embryo destined to be born this Day

Blessed is every Mother who brings her baby to birth

Blessed be every Father who supports bone of his bone-flesh of his flesh

Blessed be every doctor who refuses to abort life, but seeks to save life

Blessed be the miracle of LIFE amd the God of LIFE who provides for every living creature

Blessed be the Virgin Mary who did not refuse to bear the Son of God

Blessed be the Lord Jesus who did not despise being a fetus in the sanctuary of the Womb.

Brother Martin A Prayer for Children

O Lord Jesus Christ, whose anger was once terribly kindled against those who hurt the children, we beseech You to bring to repentance all those who through cruelty, abuse, or carelessness bring the innocent to harm. We are among them, O Lord, and confess with sorrow and shame that every failure of our love in thought, word or deed immeasurably increases the sin of the world and the unhappiness of the children. Lord, have mercy on us, increase our love and consecrate it, making it active in deed and prayer for all children in danger of body, mind or spirit, all who are hungry or homeless through war or disaster, children of broken homes, frightened or lonely children, children who look for love and do not find it. What can we say, O Lord, what can we ask? They are the innocent sufferers for our sins, as You were in Your life on earth, united to You more closely than we can understand. Lord, have mercy upon them in their suffering, and have mercy upon us in our sin.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Patroness of the Unborn

To help stop the anti-life push in the U.S. we are encouraging the spiritual adoption of an unborn child. This is done by praying that one particular but unknown child's life be spared abortion and be allowed to continue to and after birth.

To help accomplish this, it was recommended, an individual say the following daily prayer for a period of one year.

"Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spirtually adopted who is in danger of abortion."

During your earthly life this spirtually adopted child of yours will be known only to God, but in the world to come and throughout eternity both you and the child will find happiness in each other's company.

Words of Our Lady of Guadalupe

"Listen, my son, to what I tell you now: do not be troubled nor disturbed by anything; do not fear illness nor any other distressing occurrence, nor pain. Am I not your mother? Am I not life and health? Have I not placed you on my lap and made you my responsibility? Do you need anything else."

PRAYER FOR A HUMAN LIFE AMENDMENT

O GOD, GIVER OF LIFE HELP US TO DO OUR PART TO SAVE UNBORN BABIES FROM DEATH BY ABORTION AND AID PREGNANT MOTHERS IN DISTRESS. PLEASE STRENGTHEN US IN OUR EFFORTS TO OBTAIN AN AMENDMENT TO OUTLAW ABORTION IN THE UNITED STATES.
AMEN

Prayer For Mothers

Father in Heaven, we thank you for the gift of life.Grant that all mothers who give birth may welcome their babies with love.

But if some mothers feel they are unable to raise their babies, grant that they may be compassionate toward the life which You have given and not destroy it before birth.

To those children who have been wantonly deprived of earthly life grant whatever happiness to which they are entitled, and to the mothers who have denied them life in this world, grant Your merciful grace of repentance and reconciliation with our Savior so that they may obtain eternal life in the next!

A Prayer for Pregnant Women

God our Father,
You were pleased to Bless the Virgin Mary with the gift of bringing Your Son into the world. Graced with the Word of God within Her, She brought forth Your New and Eternal Life to all creation.

We pray You that as You guided Mary, protect and guide all women who carry new life within them. May they be ever conscious of the great Dignity they have been given.

May they turn to You in constant prayer and be ever thankful of the Gift they carry within them. We pray this in the name of Jesus, who is Lord of Life, now and forever. Amen.

Prayer for Pro-Life Efforts

Hail and blessed be the hour and the moment in which the Word of God came to earth as a single cell and made His abode in the most pure body of the Virgin Mary. O Cell Divine, in that hour hear the prayers that we send to you across the ages.

Welcome into Your loving care the souls of all those children who are rejected by their mothers. Look with compassion upon those mothers who are driven by distress and delusion to seek the lives of their own offspring. Have mercy upon those who turn their training in the healing arts to the purposes of death.

Inspire Christians everywhere to seek out and apply Christian solutions to social problems. Bless our efforts to educate and serve. Help us to conduct them in the spirit of humility and love that will win minds and hearts to accept the truth, to minister to those in need, and to forego the resort to violence.

Amen

Prayer for Pro-Life

LORD, through the Holy Spirit Mary brought forth the Baby Jesus. We bring forth your creation of human life that we may live in Your image. Protect the innocent babies so mercilessly being murdered by abortion. Give us courage to oppose those who peddle death for profit and convenience. In Your Name. Amen

Psalm 139

You, Lord, have made all the delicate, inner parts of my body, You fabricated them in my mother's womb. I praise you for making me so wonderfully. I marvel at your workmanship. You were there while I was being formed in seclusion! You saw my substance while it was yet imperfect, and you registered in a book all my members and the days of their development. You recorded this even before my members were formed.

Psalm 139:13-16

Prayer for Respect for all Human Life

Heavenly Father, your cosmic gaze focused on dust and you fashioned in your image and likeness every man and women: give us, we beg you, a keen eye to recognize that image so that respect for all human life becomes our way of life. Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Prayer to St. Francis for Life

Gentle St. Francis, you were so devoted to the humanity of Christ. Your heart burst with appreciation toward God for taking on human life. You saw beauty and goodness in all living things - in birds that sing, the fish that fill our waters, and all that lives in nature.

Help us to imitate your reverence for life wherever it may be. Especially, humble Francis of Assisi, help us to help others to see the worth of each living, unborn baby sheltered in its mother's womb. May all people have the grace to understand that these tiny, budding lives have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Special Moms

The Special Mother by Erma Bombeck Most women become mothers by accident, some by choice, a few by social pressures and a couple by habit. This year nearly 100,000 women will become mothers of handicapped children. Did you ever wonder how mothers of handicapped children are chosen? Somehow I visualize God hovering over earth selecting his instruments for propagation with great care and deliberation. As He observes, He instructs His angels to make notes in a giant ledger.

"Armstrong, Beth; son. Patron saint...give her Gerard. He's used to profanity." "Forrest, Marjorie; daughter. Patron saint, Cecelia." "Rutledge, Carrie; twins. Patron saint, Matthew." Finally He passes a name to an angel and smiles, "Give her a handicapped child." The angel is curious. "Why this one God? She's so happy." "Exactly," smiles God, "Could I give a handicapped child to a mother who does not know laughter? That would be cruel." "But has she patience?" asks the angel. "I don't want her to have too much patience or she will drown in a sea of self-pity and despair. Once the shock and resentment wears off, she'll handle it."

"I watched her today. She has that feeling of self and independence that is so rare and so necessary in a mother. You see, the child I'm going to give her has her own world. She has to make her live in her world and that's not going to be easy." "But, Lord, I don't think she even believes in you." God smiles, "No matter, I can fix that. This one is perfect -she has just enough selfishness." The angel gasps - "selfishness? is that a virtue?" God nods. "If she can't separate herself from the child occasionally, she'll never survive

Yes, here is a woman whom I will bless with a child less than perfect. She doesn't realize it yet, but she is to be envied. She will never take for granted a "spoken word". She will consider a "step" ordinary. When her child says "Momma" for the first time, she will be present at a miracle, and will know it!" "I will permit her to see clearly the things I see...ignorance, cruelty, prejudice....and allow her to rise above them. She will never be alone. I will be at her side every minute of every day of her life, because she is doing My work as surely as if she is here by My side". "And what about her Patron saint?" asks the angel, his pen poised in mid-air. God smiles, "A mirror will suffice."

The Gift of Life and Psalm 139

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139: 13-14

Psalm 139 speaks to us about the unborn child in the mother's womb, how awesome, "fearfully and wonderfully made" God's work is.

"My frame was not hidden from you, when I was made in the secret place...your eyes saw my unformed body.  All the days ordained for me were written in your book before they came to be." Psalm 139: 15-16

God's love for the unborn child is present at the moment of conception, even before, the psalm says.  And though the child is not fully formed at the moment of conception, God's design is there, and the child's soul and identity is present.  Physically, the design, "my frame" is there, each one unique.  God's scripture, as well as the advances in science, tell us this.

"How precious are your thoughts, O God!  How vast is the sum of them!  Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.  When I awake, I am still with you."  Psalm 139: 17-18

Most of our failings, our sin, arise because we don't truly know how deeply God loves us and is with us in times of uncertainty.  The psalm describes the depth of God's love, how it outnumbers even the grains of sand, how God remains with us, and we with Him.

Please honor Christ's conception in a special way:

0 Jesus, who dwelt in the womb of Mary,
have mercy on us.
0 Jesus, who first felt human pain while in the womb,
have mercy on us.

grant us peace.

Prayer for Abortionists and Their Staffs
- by Jean M. Heimann

Lord, we lift up to you all abortionists and their staffs, including all technicians, nurses, receptionists, counselors, chaplains, and all who are employed or voluntarily assisting with the killing of the unborn in any way.  We place each one of them in the innermost recessess of Your Sacred Heart -- Your Heart of Mercy, compassion and love for all Your children.

We pray that they will accept the supernatural graces that You give them this day to renounce the horrific killing of Your children; the psychological, physical, and spiritual harm they are doing to the women through their actions; and the tremendous spiritual, physical and psychological harm they are doing to themselves.

Give them an abundance of courage and strength to say "no" to murder and to escape the culture of death and the constant torment and resentment that they experience in their lives.

As they approach You, encourage them to draw nearer, remove the veil that covers their eyes and blinds them to the truth.  Pour out Your tender, loving mercy upon them that they will see the truth, the reality, and the consequences of their actions.  Draw them into the light of Your love and penetrate their souls with the light of truth, the light of Your knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.

We pray this in the holy name of Jesus, through the intercession of our Blessed Virgin Mary.

For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on them and on the whole world.

St. Gianna Beretta Molla, pray for them.
Blessed Anna Maria Taige, pray for them.
Pope John Paul, the Great, pray for them.

 A Birth-Mother's Prayer
- by Sr. Juliemarie McDonald, SND

Blessed are those who choose life for they shall experience the radiance of eternal life.  Lord, I have chosen life, but my heart is saddened.  My child is cuddled in another mother's arms.  Mother Mary bless the adopted parents, who could not give life. I know my child is safe and loved.  Comfort my aching heart.  Turn my morning into joy.  Amen.

Prayer for the Chronically Ill

Loving God,
Rock of strength for those who trust in You;
Comforter of those who call on you.
Hear the cry of those who suffer
from constant sickness or weakness,
and embrace them in Your loving arms.
As You have united them to the suffering of Christ
in the waters of baptism,
be their companion on the way of the cross,
give them peace, and strengthen them with the vision of your kingdom.

We make this prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Prayer for the Disabled

God of Compassion, in Jesus Christ You cared for those who were blind and deaf, crippled or slow to learn.  Though all of us need help, give special care to those who are disabled, particularly those we name in silence...

By our concern may they know the love You have for them, and come to trust in You, through Jesus Christ Who came to heal.  Amen.

Prayer to God the Father of All Life
- from Priests for Life

Eternal God, You have revealed Yourself as the Father of all Life.  We praise You for the Fatherly care which You extend to all creation, and especially to us, made in Your image and likeness.

Father, extend Your hand of protection to those threatened by abortion, and save them from its destructive power.  Give Your strength to all fathers, that they may never give in to the fears that may tempt them to facilitate abortion.

Bless our families and bless our land, that we may have the joy of welcoming and nurturing the life of which You are the Source and the Eternal Father.  Amen.

Prayer for Healing
- by Rev. James Moroney

Eternal Father, Source of all mercy and love, out of love for us You sent Your Son, and willed that blood and water flow from His side to cleanse us of sin and to restore lost innocence.

Hear the cry of each woman who mourns the loss of her child to abortion.  Forgive her sin, restore her to grace, and still the terror of her heart with peace beyond all understanding.  Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of all tenderness and our Mother, strengthen her faith in You.  Give her the consolation to believe that her child is now living in the Lord.  We ask this through Christ our Lord, Who conquered sin and death, and Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.  Amen.

Mothers prayer to Mary

Mary, Mother of our Lord Jesus, help me
during my pregnancy, and in the birth
and raising of my child. Be an example
of faith, hope, and love for me and my baby.
May your Son bring joy to me as He did to you.
I pray this in Jesus name, in union with the Holy
Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen

Prayer for Life

Loving God, in Your goodness, You have given us the gift of life.  I ask Your pardon and forgiveness for my own failure and the failure of all people in this world to protect and respect this gift you have given us.  I pray that, with Your grace, I and all people will respect, reverence, and protect all life and that I will be especially sensitive to the life of the unborn, the abused, the neglected, the disabled, and the elderly.  Guide all who make decisions about life, that they will do so with wisdom, love, and courage.  In Your name - Father, Source of all life, Son, Savior of our lives, and Spirit, Sanctifier of our lives - We pray.  Amen.

Saint Gerard Prayer

O God, I humbly ask You, through the intercession of Saint Gerard, to protect me in my time of childbearing, and to watch over the child you blessed me with. Stay with me Lord and help me to know how much You love me. I pray this through your son Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Gerard For a Mother with Child

"O almighty and everlasting God, through the Holy Spirit, you prepared the body and soul of the glorious virgin Mary to be a worthy dwelling place of your divine Son. Through the name of the Holy Spirit, you sanctified Saint John the Baptist, while still in his mother's womb. Hear the prayers of your humble servant who implores you, through the intercession of Saint Gerard, to protect me from the dangers of childbearing and to watch over the child with which You blessed me. May this child be cleansed by the saving water of baptism and, after a Christian life on earth, may we, both mother and child, attain everlasting bliss in heaven. Amen."

Reading From Revelation

God Himself will be with them, and He will be their God.
He will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will
be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain.

Mother of Africa

Mary, Our Mother of Africa, hear the drumbeat of our prayers; May your son Jesus continue to bring us joy, relieve our tensions, and forgive us our sins.
Help us to walk in His Light.
Help us to help others do the same...
And bring us to life everlasting with the Holy Saints and angels. Amen!

Prayer for the Spiritual Adoption of an Unborn Child

"Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion."
Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen recommended saying the above daily prayer for a period of one year to help babies in danger in the womb. During this life this spiritually adopted child of yours will be known only to God, but in Heaven you will meet the child whose life was spared by your prayers and enjoy eternal happiness in his or her company.

A Prayer For Life

Father and maker of all, you adorn all creation with splendor and beauty, and fashion human lives in your image and likeness.
Awaken in every heart reverence for the work of your hands, and renew among your people a readiness to nurture and sustain your precious gift of life.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer For Aborted Infants

Dear little infant Jesus, in honor of thy Holy Birth, and through thy Holy Mother, I pray that the innocents who will this day be murdered may find refuge and eternal glory before the throne of our Heavenly Father.

Spiritual Baptism of the Unborn:
I believe in God, the Father the Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into Heaven. He is seated at the right hand of the Father. From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen. That all who were born dead this day may reach everlasting life through Jesus Christ, Mary, Joseph, John and (Saint of the day). I baptize you if God so wills (Sprinkle Holy Water to the north, south, east and west of your home or church) "In the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Ghost."
Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
Glory Be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, Amen.

You formed Eve from flesh
You saved Noah from the flood
You heard the cry of innocent blood
You spared the life of Cain
You filled Sarah's old womb

You delivered Saul from David
You redeemed the life of David
You gave Solomon length of days

Prayer of John Paul II for Life
- Encyclical Letter "The Gospel of Life" Given in Rome, on March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, in the year 1995.

O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life: Look down, O Mother, upon the vast numbers of babies to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy. Grant that all who believe in your Son may proclaim the Gospel of life with honesty and love to the people of our time. Obtain for them the grace to accept that Gospel as a gift ever new, the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout their lives and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build, together with all people of good will, the civilization of truth and love, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and Lover of life.  Amen.

A Pro-Life Prayer For Our President And Public Officials
- from EWTN

Lord God, Author of Life and Source of Eternal Life,

Move the hearts of all our public officials and especially our President, to fulfill their responsibilities worthily and well to all those entrusted to their care.

Help them in their special leadership roles, to extend the mantle of protection to the most vulnerable, especially the defenseless unborn, whose lives are threatened with extermination by an indifferent society.

Guide all public officials by your wisdom and grace to cease supporting any law that fails to protect the fundamental good that is human life itself, which is a gift from God and parents.

You are the Protector and Defender of the lives of the innocent unborn. Change the hearts of those who compromise the call to protect and defend life. Bring our nation to the values that have made us a great nation, a society that upholds the values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all.

Mary, the Mother of the living, help us to bear witness to the Gospel of Life with our lives and our laws, through Christ, Our Lord.   Amen.

Prayer of Repentance for Having Destroyed Life
- by Joseph of Jesus and Mary, The Work of God Apostolate

Heavenly Father, Almighty God. I humble myself before your Presence.

Father of life, Father of all spirits. I have sinned against you, I have broken your commandment that says "You shall not kill."

I repent of my crime, I admit my guilt and I ask you to forgive me. You have said an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth and a life for a life [Leviticus 24:17-21]; if you look at my iniquities I will be lost forever, but with you is found mercy and love [Psalm 130:2-3].

Lord have mercy on me, a sinner.

Lord you have appointed repentance for the forgiveness of sins , you have given power to your Church to forgive sins. I promise to confess my sins to a Catholic priest and I beg you to heal the wounds of my soul.

Heal me O Lord, purify me from all my iniquities. Precious Blood of Jesus cover me, I have shed human blood, I have destroyed life and you are life, now I beg you Lord by the power of your Precious Blood that you forgive me and deliver me from my iniquities.

Blessed Mother Mary, Virgin mother of all the living, mother of life, I am your child, forgive me my sins and pray for me, take me into the refuge of your Immaculate Heart and help me to live God's commandments.

Mother Mary you are the mother of that human being that I rejected, I entrust it to you and to your Son my Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for us O Holy Mother of God that we may be worthy of the promises of Christ.  Amen.

Prayer to St. Gerard

St. Gerard, you worshiped Jesus as
the Lord of Life. I ask you today to
pray or my special intention.
    (Mention your intention here.)
Lift up to Jesus all those who seek
to conceive a child, all those
having difficult pregnancies, all
who have suffered the loss of a
child, and all who lovingly lift up
their children to God. Pray that all
of us, by caring for mothers,
fathers, and children born and
unborn. May build a Culture of Life,
in the name of Jesus Christ our
Lord.  Amen.

Prayer for the Terminally Ill
- by Rev. Kenneth W. Collins

Lord, forgive them any sins that they may have committed.  If it is Your will, raise them up to a healthy body and a sound mind to serve the residue of their days in Your service and to Your glory.  If it is not Your will to heal them, then recognize them as a lamb of Your fold and a sheep of Your flock.  Send Your holy angels to protect them from all spiritual harm, to guide and direct them, to counsel and defend them.  Take them into the paradise that You have prepared for those who love You.
Let them stand in the resurrection of the just on the Last Day and live with You in Your glory forever more.  Amen.

Prayer for the Unborn
- from EWTN

Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil, those helpless little ones to whom You have given the gift of life.

Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our world today who are not thinking of motherhood.

Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image - as well as theirs - made for eternal life.

Dispel their fear and selfishness; give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give them birth and all the needed care that a mother can give.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord, Who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

Pro-life Prayer
Heavenly Father, how awesome it is that You created us in Your image! This is the basis of our human dignity from which flows our human rights, beginning with the right to life. Have mercy on our nation for not recognizing the right to live in the preborn human being. May the silent scream of those who have died through the
excruciating pains of abortion impassion Americans to make abortion illegal once again.

Dear Jesus, I pray for our legislatures and judges that they will make laws and judge according to Thy will with the knowledge that the preborn is indeed a person as the words human being come from being human. I pray for the conversion of President
Obama that he will take to heart the Bible reading where the preborn John leaps for joy as Jesus approaches him in the womb of Mary. Remind them all that the Declaration of Independence declares the "inalienable" right to life for all men, where the word "men" has always referred to all human beings, which must include the preborn as they are human beings too.

I pray for all those in a crisis pregnancy that they receive the care they need and that they are not coerced by the Culture of Death to have an abortion. Come Holy Spirit upon all pro-choice people, especially Catholics, to instill knowledge of the scientific fact that a human being exists at the moment of fertilization. For the same scientific evidence that proves born persons are human, also proves the preborn to be human. Enlighten all those seeking an abortion that their preborn belongs to You not to them. Disperse their fears. Fill their hearts with joy.
In the most holy name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Pro-Life Prayer

O God, Our Loving Creator, all life is in Your handsfrom the moment of fertilization until death. We are grateful for the privilege of sharing in Your work of creation. Enlighten and be merciful toward those who do not value the gift of life. Convert prochoice Catholics, prochoice judges and legislatures. Inspire them to seek and find the truth in You.

Bless all those who defend the right to life of the preborn, the newborn, the handicapped, the aged, and the terminally ill. Grant that by our care of all who are pregnant, we might be a sign of Your love in the world today.
This
we ask in Jesus' name. Amen
